Plan - Send John Burgoyne south from Canada to isolate the New England colonies. ( They originally did this, but Howe was supposed to aid Burgoyne, but he didn't. Burgoyne ran out of supplies and eventually surrendered while surrounded.) - We will send two armies under different generals with only three thirds the amount of men in each army. This will ensure that there will be backup, and one will be able to proceed if the other is compromised. - This will double the chance of victory and they will be able to support each other. - We will also station men along the Appalachian Mountains to encourage an alliance with the Indians and help protect them in exchange. This will also keep colonists from moving further west. - We will also block the Massachusetts ports because they are some of their most important. We will block some of the smaller ports along the coast to stop trade. - Once we win a battle we will not capture the place we will plan what to do next and send one person to find where the colonists are headed to. - We will try to keep France from forming an alliance with America by creating an alliance with France first. - Capture the most influential leaders
People Fighting in War - Use more American slaves and promise freedom
- Convince the British citizens that they need America for trade and different supplies. Also, tell the citizens that they are fighting against people who committed treason to their country. Numbers - total of 60,000 men - 2750 needed at first (there will be a draft if there are not enough volunteers) - 15,000 will be shipped to America - 10,000 will be shipped to Canada for backup - 2500 will be shipped to Canada to make supplies and manufacture what is needed. - 5 trusted leader will be picked by personally by the King George III. - well known loyalists will be used to help in the war (whether it be for information or fighting) - they will use outspoken loyalists to ensure loyalty and to prevent deception. Trust Among the Colonists - to provide trust with the colonists and loyalists, soldiers will not stay in homes or take supplies without the consent of he household first. - the soldiers will also provide protection in towns with a large loyalist populaion - King George III should write a letter to the loyal colonists to provide sympathy and to make a connection with the people. - Any and all prisoners will have a trial after the war.

January 31, 2017 US History 10 Loyal to the Union As Trump steps into office, we enter a new chapter of history. We, as people of California and people of the United Sates, should embrace this change in presidency. At each election and each inauguration, we celebrate the hope of change, but we also risk the chance of unthinkable destruction to the government our founders fought so hard for. Each state has a certain independence, but over all they are each part the United States. When the colonies tried to separate themselves from Britain, they were trying to separate themselves from the religious restraints and eventually from the tyrannical power controlling their lives from afar. These colonists fought and risked everything they had for freedom and representation in their government. They created so much from so little and were tormented through it all, but as a result they prevailed and a flourishing country was born. Our founding fathers were fighting, not just for a say in the government, but for individual freedom. We, as Californians, should not be fighting against America for something as petty as disagreeing with ideas of our new president. During each election there are always two types of people, the people who agree with the president and the people who disagree with the president. If we fled every time something we disagreed with happened, then our country would always be so divided. Big events in history should unite us, not tear us apart. If California became its own country we would have to set up our own government and military. We do have exceptional military bases located in our state, but we do not have many people who are military within California. There are many public schools in California, and we wouldn't have as much funding for the schools. Our taxes would be raised and there would be disarray within the government. Also, California has 55 electoral votes which are a big part in the voting during the elections. California's separation would have an immense affect on the United States. Our country has done so much for us as a whole. It is now a better time than any to stand together no matter our beliefs. Our state prides itself on its acceptance of all beliefs whether we personally believe it or not. Let us be loyal to the union that has stood by our side and has been unbreakable with a community united together. There are two heads in the executive that has the most power, but it is balanced by the judicial and legislative. The legislative makes the laws, but they have to have approval from the two heads and the judicial. The judicial creates the laws regarding crime and punishment with approval from the two kings and the legislative. The judicial is also the judges. There is a mayor in each town to represent the people, that will speak directly to the kings and government. The two heads can be from separate families, but the next in line is blood. If necessary the mayors can gather and impeach the heads. There is a police department on the island and a navy. There are no natives, so the only military we need is the navy.
There is a limit of 30,000 people. There are only 8 months in the year 2 months for each season. Our national holiday is April 25th. We had inspiration from the medieval European Nobility and the US government. The government form is a democratic aristocracy. |
